Holocaust Memorial

When in Berlin, we went to visit the Holocaust memorial. It was very eerie. From the outside all the blocks seem about 3 or 4 ft high. However when you walk in you realise that the centre is significantly lower, and are suddenly surrounded by 15ft tall pillars. Your insitinct is to stay towards the middle, and with the tight passage ways it can seem very constricting, which I suppose, is the point of the whole exercise.

Dispatch from Berlin

Eos 350d, 15 seconds, f 5.6, 18mm 18-55 kit lens

I was in Berlin for the last week and got a couple of interesting pictures. I'm going to try and post at least a few every week. The idea is very much inspired by Dan Chung's photo blog over at guardian.co.uk This particular photo is of a very large German Flag outside the Reichstag.

First post

Not quite sure at this point how often I will use this blog, but I shall at least start with good intentions to update often! I think it will be used for an odd mix of photographs, which I very much enjoy taking, crazy ideas that I have from time to time, and any political ideas that I my happen to have at the time.
